He has been active in Nevada Politics since 1988 and has served as the Treasurer of the Clark County Republican Party and was the Executive Director of the Nevada Republican Party. He retired from politics in 2005 but returned as the Political Director of the Sue Lowed for U.S. Senate campaign in 2009.

Dan cannot make up his mind about what he wants to be when he grows up. He has been a Craps Dealer, Floorman and Pit Boss in Las Vegas Casinos. He has been a Real Estate Salesman, Real Estate Developer, General Contractor and owned a gym, car repair shop and beauty salon.
